Parents
are encouraged to maintain close contact with
their dependents while they are away from home.
There will be periods of adjustment for the
students away from home and this contact will
help them adjust. The university also does its
best to help students overcome “homesickness”
if it occurs.
Parents are also encouraged to inquire of the
university at any time they have a concern dealing
with any matter, be it academic, social or personal.
Parents should review our website and learn
as much as possible about the university so
that they are knowledgeable about what is available
to their dependents and how their sons and daughters
can best make use of the university services.
Direct inquiries can be made to the Registrar’s
Office, the Office of International Affairs,
the Office of Student Affairs, etc. By providing
the student’s name and ID# (if known), an immediate
inquiry can be made of a situation or of a student’s
status and reported back to the parents quickly.
