Master of Science in Financial Analysis
Specialist
Training in Investment Management
Financial professionals face overwhelming demands
in todays economies. The University of San
Francisco offers a Master of Science in Financial
Analysis (MSFA) that provides up-to-date training
in quantitative financial analysis and economics.
The
MSFA curriculum is based on the information and
skills necessary in order to qualify for the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation by the
Association of Investment Management and Research
(AIMR®). A thesis is not required for this
program.
Students will complete the USF MSFA program with
advanced quantitative training in economics and
finance. Participants will develop the skills
needed to understand and apply the most current
tools used by investment management
professionals.
Your
Unique Advantage
Geared
to Practitioner Needs
The
Chartered Financial Analyst or CFA® designation
represents an international standard of excellence
for investment management. The CFA® enhances
the prestige of all investment professionals who
acquire this credential.
Our two-year USF MSFA program provides a sequential
approach to the skills and information covered
by the annual CFA® exams. The MSFA curriculum
is structured to provide students with what is
needed to pass the first two exams of the CFA®
designation. Students may take these exams while
enrolled in the MSFA program.
In addition to standard MSFA coursework, students
in the program are offered a one-month intensive
review course each year. This is designed to prepare
them for the CFA® exams at the first and second
levels.
MSFA students continue to have access to this
exclusive CFA® review program for one year
after graduation from the program.
